Mrs. Geraldine H. Richardson


Mrs. Richardson received her Masters Degree in Reading and Language Arts and her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with additional certification in pre-school/kindergarten education. For more than ten years she was a curriculum consultant for the Florida Department of Education both in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education and School Improvement Sections. Responsibilities included developing statewide curriculum frameworks, conducting training, and serving on many coordinating taskforces. Specifically, she was responsible for developing and modifying the curriculum frameworks for middle schools. She also worked with a broad-based taskforce on course modifications for dropout prevention, and with other groups to assist in developing programs for at-risk students. As a consultant for ESDI, Mrs. Richardson has been an essential component of the statewide evaluations of the Florida Professional Development System, the South Carolina Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration Grants, the Area Centers for Educational Enhancement, and the 6-state SERVE regional research study on Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration Grants.

Mrs. Richardson has conducted many evaluations and reviews of local school district programs and is a certified trainer for Facilitative Leadership. She has been a classroom teacher and is a Certified Public Manager. Mrs. Richardson will assist in the refinement of the evaluation plan, conduct onsite visits, and assist in generating the reports associated with the study.
