Mr. William B. Hancock, Jr.


Mr. Hancock has had more than 30 years of experience in public school education in Florida. He has been a teacher, principal, and district supervisor for middle and secondary education. He has been very active in professional organizations including the National Association of Secondary School Principals, Florida Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Florida Association of School Administrators. Mr. Hancock has conducted extensive observations of classrooms and interviews with teachers in a variety of settings. Most recently, he has assisted Evaluation Systems Design, Inc. in their contract work to establish two 350-student schools in residential juvenile justice settings and continued working on a consulting basis with the private contractor operating these schools. He has also served as a consultant to SERVE in reviewing schools in Florida that have received “D” and “F” grades. Mr. Hancock will conduct site visits for this evaluation study. His location in South Florida will reduce travel costs.
